The logo unveiling of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Dhaka Marathon-2024 was held at the Army Multipurpose Complex in Dhaka Cantonment on Sunday.
Bangladesh Olympic Association President and Army Chief General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed attended the event as the chief guest and unveiled the logo of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Dhaka Marathon-2024, according to a press release.
At that time, the army chief said: “Bangladesh is progressing along with our sports arena. The main goal of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Dhaka Marathon-2024 is to present the Bengali ethnicity, tradition and culture to the outside world and encourage the youth to lead a healthy lifestyle in memory of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.”
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Dhaka Marathon 2024 under the supervision of the Bangladesh Army will be held on January 26, 2024, at 300 feet i.e. Sheikh Hasina Sarani.
The registration process for the marathon officially started on Sunday and will be open to the public till January 10, 2024.
After the logo unveiling ceremony, a media briefing was held by the Chief Coordinator of the Organizing Committee and Race Director Brigadier General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui, director, Headquarters, Training Directorate.
