AIZAWL WEST IN MIZORAM ENTERS COVID-19 ORANGE ZONE

In a positive development, Aizawl West in Mizoram have entered into the orange zone from the red zone category of the COVID-19 pandemic. Aizawl West and Imphal West are the two districts from the Northeast which have not reported even a single COVID-19 positive case after registering the first case.

Orange zone means in the last 14 days neither of the districts have reported any COVID positive cases. With no COVID cases in the next 14 days, both the districts will enter in to the green zone when they will be announced as COVID infection free area. Aizawl West have been included amongst 27 districts from 17 States across India entering into the orange zone. “No COVID positive cases have been reported from 17 districts across India and Aizawl West in Mizoram and Imphal West in Manipur are also included,” said Lav Aggrawal, Joint Secretary in the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
