Margherita BJP Suspends Youth Leaders for Extorting Money from ‘Dhaba’ Owner

The Margherita Bharatiya Janata P Sadar Mandal Committee on Tuesday suspended four BJP youth leaders of the Margherita Mandal BJP Yuba Morcha due to their involvement in a ransom case.
Bhadreswar Moran, President of the Margherita BJP Sadar Mandal Committee, said that as per information, BJP Yuba Morcha Margherita Mandal President Bitupon Sharma Baruah, Vice Present Mintu Koch, Secretary Sanjit Gogoi, Sadar Mandal Prabhari Surya Tamang, and Margherita MLA Bhaskar Sharma’s bodyguards Pradip Bordoloi and Boga on 17 August went to drink alcohol at the Bhagawan Dhaba situated at Siding under the Margherita Police Station.
Soon, the six BJP members started a quarrel with the Dhaba owner and demanded Rs 1 Lakh from him after accusing him of being involved in illegal activities, said Moran. The Dhaba owner gave Rs 50,000 and the promised to pay the remaining sum after a few days.
Bhadreswar Moran said that this has maligned the image of the MLA Bhaskar Sharma, as well as the BJP, due to which they decided to suspend all four BJP Yuba Morcha leaders and the two body guards. “We have no relation with them and we also request to the people of Margherita not to keep any relation with the suspended BJP Yuba Morcha leaders”, said Bhadreswar Moran.
