FIR filed against Tripura PCC President Pradyot Bikram Manikya DebBarma for assaulting a tribal youth and abusing police personnel inside Khowai Police Station.

Pradyot, accompanied by ATTF militant chief Ranjit Debbarma stormed into the police station and slapped the arrested tribal boy hard and scolded him as ‘shame of Tiprasa’ and for not having any respect for King. The stunned boy who had stood up with folded hands to greet Pradyot looked on helplessly as Pradyot kept on his volleys of verbal attacks against the errant boy as well as the police personnel without rhyme or reason.
Police officers registered a suo moto FIR against Pradyot under sections 447 (criminal trespass) 352 (assault or application of criminal force without provocation),323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and Section 506 (criminal intimidation).
