Secretary of Defence Industries of Türkiye Pays Courtesy Call on Army Chief

Professor Haluk Gorgun, Secretary of Defence Industries of the Republic of Türkiye, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of Army Staff of the Bangladesh Army, General Waker-Uz-Zaman, SBP, OSP, SGP, PSC, at the Army Headquarters today.
During the meeting, both dignitaries exchanged warm greetings and held discussions on further strengthening the existing defence cooperation between Bangladesh and Türkiye. H.E. Prof. Gorgun reaffirmed Türkiye’s commitment to enhancing bilateral collaboration and expressed willingness to provide strategic and technical support for the development of Bangladesh’s defence industry.
In response, the Army Chief emphasized Bangladesh’s keen interest in developing indigenous defence manufacturing capabilities and modern military technology with Turkish assistance. He highlighted the potential for joint ventures and knowledge exchange that could significantly contribute to the modernization of Bangladesh’s defence infrastructure.
It is worth noting that Bangladesh and Türkiye have seen growing cooperation in the field of defence in recent years, which has elevated their strategic ties and opened new avenues for bilateral collaboration.
