Army chief leaves for Japan to attend Asian Games opening ceremony

Bangladesh Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman left Dhaka for Japan today (16 September) on a four-day official visit to attend the opening ceremony of the 20th Asian Games.

As the president of the Bangladesh Olympic Association, the army chief will attend the opening ceremony of the Asian Games to be held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.

During his visit, General Waker-Uz-Zaman will also attend various sporting events of the Asian Games and hold bilateral meetings with senior officials of the Asian Games and Olympic associations.
