Assam: Section 144 CrPC imposed in Hailakandi after scuffle between two groups injures 15 including scribe

At least 15 persons including a scribe was injured in Assam’s Hailakandi town today following scuffle between two groups in Kali Bari Road point.
Following this, the District Magistrate of Hailakandi imposed section 144 in CrPC in the entire area to maintain peace and order. People have also been asked to stay indoors to avoid any unavoidable circumstance.
Many motor bikes, vehicles and e-rickshaws also suffered damage due to the conflict. Some shops have also been damaged.
Sources also informed that police had to blank fire in order to control the mob.
