Bengali Woman Shot Dead in Khagrachhari

A woman was shot to death and her son injured at Babuchhara in Dighinala upazila of Khagrachhari at early hours on 15th August. Deceased Morsheda Begum, 40, was the wife of Bengali leader Abdul Malek.
A group of tribal armed miscreants opened fire on the house of Abdul Malek indiscriminately that killed his wife Morsheda and his son Mohammad Ahad injured. Ahad was admitted to Dighinala Upazila Health Complex, Dighinala Police Station OC Uttom Kumar Dey confirmed.
Police sent the body to Khagrachhari Adhunik Sadar Hospital morgue. Although UPDF(Proshit) press secretary Niron Chakma denied the allegation, the OC Dighinala suspect them to be involved in the incident.
