Sri Lanka is seeking a new $ 250M exchange from Bangladesh

According to Bangladesh’s Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen, Sri Lanka has reached “subject” to the exchange of 250 250 million in response to the foreign exchange crisis.

In an interview with NewsFirst on the sidelines of the BIMSTEC ministerial meeting in Colombo on Tuesday, Momen said, “We are working on this, but no final decision has been made, especially in the Russia-Ukraine war which has created uncertainty over imports – dependent Bangladesh” (March 29).

Without elaborating, Momen said Bangladesh had given an extension to Sri Lanka in exchange for 250 million in negotiations last year.
