Maldives Chief of Defence Force Calls on Bangladesh Army Chief

Chief of Army Staff General Waker-uz-Zaman held a courtesy meeting with Chief of Defence Force of the Maldives Major General Ibrahim Hilmy at the Army Headquarters on Sunday. A Maldivian delegation accompanied Major General Hilmy during the meeting.
During the discussion, both sides exchanged views on strengthening the existing friendly relations and expanding mutual cooperation in the field of defence.
Major General Hilmy highly praised the professionalism of the Bangladesh Army, its significant contributions to peacekeeping operations abroad, and its positive role in maintaining internal law and order.
Maldivian Ambassador to Bangladesh Shiuneen Rasheed was also present at the meeting.
