COVID 19 cases in Dimapur hit 100; Nagaland’s tally at 127

With the detection of 4 new cases, the total of number of COVID-19 positive cases in Dimapur hit 100-mark on June 9.
However, with 8 recoveries, there are 92 actives cases the district.
With most cases reporting from the district, the COVID-19 Hospital Dimapur was already full by June 7 and four patients (all male) were shifted to COVID-19 Hospital at Assam Rifles Camp, Shokhuvi on Sunday.
The 50-bedded hospital in Shokhuvi is managed by the Assam Rifles.
Overall, Nagaland recorded 5 fresh COVID-19 cases on Tuesday taking the total number of infections in the state to 127, with 119 designated as active.
Apart from 4 in Dimapur, a sample in Kohima returned positive on Tuesday.
“5 new cases of COVID-19 +ve have been reported out of 333 samples tested. 4 from Dmp QC & 1 from Khm QC,” State Health and Family Welfare Minister, S Pangnyu Phom informed in a tweet.
According the Nagaland COVID-19 Dashboard, out of 127 cases, there are 86 males and 41 females.
A total of 120 patients are in 18-44 age group while 5 fall under 0-17 years age bracket. There are two cases in 45 – 64 years age group.
