Chief coordinator of KNA’s women wing arrested

Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have arrested a key coordinator of the Kuki-Chin National Army (KNA) from Bandarban.
Akim Bom, 27, was picked up by a RAB-15 unit during a raid in Laimi Para area.
She is the coordinator of the KNA’s women’s wing in Bandarban Sadar and Rowangchhari zone, said ANM Imran Khan, senior assistant director of RAB’s legal and media wing.
The KNA is the military wing of the terrorist group Kuki-Chin National Front (KNF).
Earlier, RAB arrested Cheosim Bom, chief coordinator of the central committee of the KNF on April 7.
The joint forces have so far arrested 84 people in connection with bank robbery, looting of 14 firearms, abduction and attacks on law enforcers in Bandarban’s Ruma and Thanchi upazilas on April 2 and 3. The KNF president, Nathan Bom, has yet to be traced.
