Army urges public to stay vigilant against rumours

The Bangladesh Army has urged the public not to pay heed to any rumour.
The appeal was made through a public awareness post issued on the Army’s verified Facebook page on Friday afternoon.
According to the post, a certain group recently circulated a fake press release using the official logo of the Bangladesh Armed Forces.
This act appears to be an attempt to mislead the general public and create discord between the Armed Forces and the citizens, it added.
The post further stated: “Do not believe in rumours or be misled. Verify information and stay alert.”
An image of the fabricated press release was also attached to the post for public awareness.
