Arms factory busted in Chittagong, 2 held

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has busted an arms factory at a remote hilly area in Rangunia upazila of Chittagong.
Mahmudul Hasan Mamun, assistant director (Media) of RAB-7 confirmed the matter on Thursday (14th May).
Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB-7 conducted a drive and busted the arms factory situated on a hill.
The elite force members caught two arms manufacturers red-handed while they tried to escape.
The arrestees were identified as Md Rokon, 38 and his associate Md Abdul, 32.
Later, the RAB-7 members recovered four locally made one-shooter guns, three rounds of cartridge, 10 rounds of empty bullet shells, and arms manufacturing equipment from the scene.
During primary interrogation, the arrestees said that they were selling arms to the terrorists of Chittagong after manufacturing them in their factory.
