The government is launching ‘Operation Devil Hunt’ across Bangladesh, including Gazipur, starting Saturday (January 8).

The nationwide operation, coordinated by joint forces, aims to maintain law and order and bring terrorists to justice.

The decision was made during a high-level law enforcement meeting at the Secretariat on Saturday, following a terrorist attack on students and civilians in Gazipur on Friday (January 7) night, according to a notification from the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The ministry confirmed that the operation will be immediately enforced in Gazipur and extended nationwide. Further details will be disclosed in a press briefing on Sunday.

Friday’s attack, allegedly carried out by operatives linked to the fallen dictatorship, left several people seriously injured, prompting swift government action.
