Three Indian teenagers were sent back to India by Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) after they entered Bangladesh via the Sonahat land port in Kurigram on a motorcycle.
Members of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained the teenagers but later released them after being confirmed that they entered Bangladesh by mistake.
All three of them are allegedly under the age of 18. They are residents of Dhubri district, India.
BGB-22 Battalion Captain Lt Col Abdul Mottakim said: “Three Indian teenagers entered Bangladesh by mistake. We confirmed the matter after several verifications. Later they were sent back to India after contacting the BSF.”
BGB sources also said the teenagers entered Bangladesh by mistake as the entrance gate of the land port was open.
