Rohingya man killed in gunfight between criminals in Cox’s Bazar

A Rohingya man was killed in a gunfight between two criminal groups at Ukhiya refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar early today.
The deceased was identified as Bashir Ullah, 35, an inhabitant of Balukhali-10 Rohingya camp.
Mohammad Saiful Islam, inspector (investigation) of Ukhiya Police Station, said the gunfight took place around 4:00am at Block-H between the members of Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army and Rohingya Solidarity Organization.
Bashir was shot during the exchange of fire, the inspector said.
He was taken to a local hospital in the camp where doctors declared him dead around 9:00am, the police official said quoting locals.
The body was sent to Cox’s Bazar District Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
