Bangladesh to send back Myanmar security force personnel on Thursday

The Border Guard Bangladesh has said the border guards and army personnel from Myanmar who have fled to Bangladesh due to an ongoing conflict in the country will be sent back on Thursday morning.
Three hundred thirty members of various Myanmar security organizations who had taken shelter in Bangladesh would be handed over to Myanmar authorities at the navy’s naval jetty in Inani, BGB Public Relations Officer Shariful Islam said on Wednesday.
The rebel group Arakan Army recently captured a town in Rakhine State, which led to intense fighting in nearby areas.
The 330 members came to Bangladesh between February 4 and 7, prompting discussion between the two countries on their return.
