BGB detains 5 people while trying to enter India illegally through Dinajpur border

Border Guard of Bangladesh (BGB) detained five individuals, including a child, on Saturday night while they were attempting to illegally enter India through the Birol border in Dinajpur Sadar upazila.
The detainees include Shri Panchanan Chandra Roy, 33, his wife Taapsee Rani Roy, 28, and their 3-year-old son Deepta Chandra Roy, all residents of Tangua village in Dinajpur’s Khansama upazila.
Additionally, Shri Tapu Chandra Roy, 19, and Paulina Hemram,14, were also apprehended.
According to BGB 42 Battalion Commander Lt Col Ahsan Ul Islam, the individuals were detained in Mouchusa village Dipapara, approximately 300 yards from Main Border Pillar 329 / Sub Pillar 8-S within Bangladesh.
Following their detention, a case was filed against the group, and they were handed over to Birol police for further action, the officer confirmed.
