Army Raid on UPDF’s Secret Hideout in Kaukhali, Ammunition Recovered

Based on specific intelligence information, a special operation was carried out by the Bangladesh Army early this morning in the Kaukhali area of Rangamati district in the Chittagong Hill Tracts. The operation targeted top terrorists of the UPDF (Main) and aimed to uncover their secret hideouts.
During the operation, the Bangladesh Army located a secret hideout belonging to the UPDF (Main) terrorists. Sensing the presence of the army, the terrorists quickly fled the scene. Later, a thorough search led to the recovery of 17 rounds of pistol ammunition, a binocular, a walkie-talkie set, a hard disk, terrorist uniforms, and several receipts used for extortion.
As the operation was underway, the UPDF (Main), following their usual tactics, used a group of local hill women to stage a protest in an attempt to obstruct the army’s activities. The protesters also tried to snatch the seized ammunition and equipment. However, the Bangladesh Army exercised utmost patience and professionalism, successfully bringing the situation under control.
It is also worth mentioning that just a few days ago, a shipment of arms and ammunition meant for some hill-based armed groups was seized by the law enforcement agencies of a neighboring country, which was later widely reported in the media. This further proves that the Bangladesh Army is taking strong action against all terrorist activities that threaten peace in the hills and the sovereignty of the country.
The Bangladesh Army has confirmed that anti-terror operations will continue, and all terrorist groups posing a threat to national sovereignty will be dealt with firmly. The army reiterated its commitment to maintaining peace and security in the Chittagong Hill Tracts through continued operations.
Local residents and security experts have expressed their strong support for the Bangladesh Army’s proactive approach.
