BGB DG opens Tree Plantation Campaign-2025 in Pilkhana

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Director General Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui yesterday inaugurated the BGB’s “Tree Plantation Campaign-2025.”
The BGB Director General inaugurated the week-long tree plantation campaign of the BGB by planting a Bakul tree sapling at the Bakultala premises of the BGB headquarters in Pilkhana.
After inaugurating the tree plantation campaign, the BGB Director General said: “We have gathered here for a noble purpose. Exactly one year ago in July, a new time has come to take the country forward and build the country through the student-public movement and mass uprising. For that purpose, various forces of the country and people from all walks of life are trying to build the country in a new way.”
The BGB Director General also prayed for the eternal peace of all the martyrs of the July Uprising and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
The theme of this year’s national tree plantation drive is “Planned afforestation, build a green Bangladesh.”
Highlighting this theme, the BGB Director General advised planting trees in the right places at all BGB establishments across the country, including the headquarters, as planned, and called for making this program a success through proper care and maintenance.
