Mary Kom releases ‘The Village Empire’ by Mmhonlümo Kikon

‘The Village Empire’ written by Mmhonlümo Kikon was formally released today by Indian Olympic boxer and Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, Mary Kom at her residence in New Delhi.
Releasing the book, she stated pleasure to launch the second book of poems by Mmhonlümo Kikon. His first book titled, “The Penmi Poems” was published in the year 2018.
Talking about the book, Kikon said, “The Village Empire is a deep conversation with the inner conscience- it can be mine or the readers- about the vicissitudes of time and space, of experience as political and personal, of legends and emotions as spiritual.”
“It is the angst of hope and the despair of love combined in verses of the present,” he added. Kikon is a father of two daughters and is also a second term legislator in the Nagaland Legislative Assembly representing the Bhandari Constituency of Wokha District. He studied Literature at the University of Delhi and is an Aspen Fellow.
The Village Empire is the 27th publication of PenThrill Publication House. A collection of 18 poems, the book is priced at Rs 110 and is available online at www.amazon.in and www.ilandlo.com.
