KNF-N condemns KNO/KNA

The non-SoO group Kuki National Front (KNF-N) outfit strongly condemned the alleged harassment of its ex-cadre by KNO/KNA, an entity of the tripartite talks with the Governments and urged to stop harassing civilian in future.

The outfit information and publicity secretary, Gou Kuki alleged that KNO/KNA cadres from Sinai Camp on January 9 evening took Thangboi Kipgen, ex-PRO of KNF-N into their custody from his residential village Chajang in Kangpokpi District after rigorous harassment in front his wife and children.

He also alleged that the KNO/KNA cadres later hand over the man to the State security force and the next day Thangboi Kipgen was said to be arrested by Thangkhochon Haokip, Addl SP Imphal East and put behind the bar.

Gou Kuki said that Thangboi Kipgen is no more associated with KNF-N after he was released from the organization on the medical ground a few years back and live a normal civilian life with his family.

He continued that if all this drama is being executed with the knowledge of KNO/KNA president PS Haokip, he should reconsider his decision.

He also urged the State Government and authority concerned to treat Thangboi Kipgen as civilian and not as a militant.

Saying that such misunderstanding among the various militant outfits might breach the prevailing peace and harmony, the outfit cautioned that they will no longer tolerate if such incident continues to occur in future. Also KNF-N stated that killing will continue among the Kuki groups if KNO/KNA didn’t stop such coward act immediately.

The outfit also appealed the general public not to misunderstand and take otherwise if the outfit is compelled to react upon such act.
