Army chief attends closing ceremony of ‘Bangladesh Army Firing Competition-2025’

Bangladesh army chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman on Monday attended the closing and award-giving ceremony of the ‘Bangladesh Army Firing Competition-2025’ at Savar Cantonment.
The chief of army staff distributed prizes among the winners of the firing competition as chief guest, said a release of the Directorate of Inter-Services of Public Relations.
Speaking on the occasion, he said the firing was very important in achieving the professional excellence of army personnel, which was an integral part of the basic training of Bangladesh army.
Every year, the army’s firing competition plays an important role in the desired improvement of the soldiers, the army chief added.
The ISPR said a total of 17 teams, including logistic area, five independent brigades and para-commando brigade took part in the firing competition, under the overall auspices of the Army Headquarters’ ninth infantry division on February 18, 2025.
On the occasion, General Officer Commanding (GOC) Savar and Area Commander, senior military officers of various forms and army personnel, all officers of Savar cantonment, JCO and other posts of military personnel and media persons were present.
